Green Scones

Golden Aojiru Green Scones recipe

Ingredients:

2 servings, 627 kcal per serving

  • 2 packets Golden Aojiru Young Barley Grass Powder

  • 1 cup pancake mix

  • 2 1/5 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • Chocolate

  • Walnuts

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 340°F.

  2. Allow butter to sit at room temperature until softened.* Once softened, whisk butter in a bowl until creamy.

  3. In a separate bowl, add pancake mix and Golden Aojiru powder packets, then whisk until mixed.

  4. Add butter to flour mixture and mix well. Then add milk and mix until just combined.

  5. Break chocolate and walnuts into small pieces before adding to the mixture.

  6. Shape dough into a 1-inch thick round shape and cut into 6 pieces.

  7. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes.

*TIP – Remove butter from fridge, put it on a plate, and loosely cover with plastic wrap. Leave it at room temperature until softened. If the butter is melted, the dough will be too soft.
